The Act of Remembrance on Sunday will be in the new period of Lockdown and the latest national restrictions on outdoor meetings will be in force.
Sadly the current health climate has prevented a parade and church service from taking place this year. We have had to significantly alter the way in which we honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, veterans, allies, and the civilian servicemen and women. Public safety is paramount. We are sure everyone will understand that in light of the new Lockdown, ‘Remember at Home’ is the safest way to mark the occasion.
You are invited to safely observe the 11am 2 minute silence on Sunday 8th and Wednesday 11th from your doorstep. The updated guidance states that the public can only attend the service with members of their own household or support bubble, or individually with one other person from outside their household – children under school age or disabled and with a parent are not counted for this purpose. Anyone attending will be asked to give their contact details for NHS Test and Trace purposes or check in using the NHS Covid-19 app.
The service will be streamed live at 10.55am on Wales Parish Church News Facebook Page. Please consider joining us and paying your own personal tribute through this medium.
