VE Day 75 – Raise a Community Toast

We are encouraging members of our community to join the ‘Nations Toast’ to the heroes of WW2 at 3pm on Friday 8th May. You can join in by standing in the safety of your homes, gardens or front doors, raising a glass of refreshment 🥂 and undertaking the following toast,

‘TO THOSE WHO GAVE SO MUCH, WE THANK YOU.’ 🇬🇧

We’re also asking you to wear, red, white and blue and decorate your homes as well.

• Join in the act of Thanksgiving and Rededication at 11am 🙏🏻 on FB live.
• Listen for the church bells ringing bells 🔔 at 3pm and raise a toast.
• Have a safe stay at home picnic 🧺.
•  Join in a FB live war time Sing a Long 🎶 at 7pm.
• Tune into the Queen 👑 addressing the nation at 9pm.

We may be apart as a community be we can be together virtually. We will conquer this virus if we continue to remain safe. More details can be found on the BBC Make a Difference website.
